Meet Tyler.

I began my career as an exercise physiologist with an interest in collegiate strength and conditioning. After completing a graduate degree in applied exercise physiology I published my Master’s thesis in the journal of Muscle & Nerve (you can read it here!). I then continued-on at the university level as an adjunct faculty member, lecturing and leading physical assessment labs including VO2 max testing and other measures of cardiorespiratory fitness.

During this time I developed an increasing interest in the medical field and decided to return to school to complete a second-degree program in nursing. Combining my experiences as an exercise physiologist, lecturer, and bedside nurse, I now work as a Cardiac Stress Lab RN monitoring continuous 12-lead ECGs and assisting with interventions for patients during testing as needed.

Over the last 3 years I’ve created, updated, and enhanced a unique bank of cardiac rhythms and illustrations for use by students and educators everywhere and I'm happy to bring them to you here, all in one place. Enjoy!

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Q: Who is this course designed for?

A: This course is intended for nursing students, nurses that are brand new to telemetry, paramedic students, medical students, and anyone else whose introductory position involves the rapid interpretation of cardiac rhythms. It's self paced with no beginning or end date.

Q: I'm an experienced nurse. Should I enroll, or should I skip this course?

A: If you're already strong on rhythm interpretation, this may or may not be the course for you. Feel free to check out the "previews" above to solidify this answer!

Q: Does the course cover 12-lead ECGs?

A: This course covers ECG interpretation as it pertains to single lead rhythm strips although an introduction to coronary anatomy, 12-lead ECG regions, bundle branch block patterns, and more are now included as bonus content. Check out the curriculum above!

Q: Does the course offer CEUs?

A: Unfortunately, not at this time, but I'd love to pursue this in the future.

Q: My hospital or organization offers reimbursement for educational courses. Do you have a course description page I can submit to them?

A: Yes! You can actually download it here.

Q: I purchased your book. Do I get a discount on the course if I decide to enroll?

A: Absolutely and thank you! Believe it or not I offer 50% OFF at checkout if you purchased the book. That's over 4 hours of high-quality video content at a steep discount; An attempt to provide high quality video content at a price students and new nurses can afford. See details above.
